Resident urges commission to increase on-site oversight at shelter

Director Jasmine Glover McNair responded by encouraging voluntary involvement and describing ways commissioners can support the shelter, including attending public events and coordinating drives. “I really just wanna encourage that involvement,” the director said, listing blanket and food drives, ward-level outreach and sharing staff-provided materials for community events. The commission did not take formal action during public comment but later placed outreach and meeting-frequency items on a future agenda for public notice.
