At its Jan. 13 special meeting, the Independent School District 622 Board of Education adopted a package of organizational resolutions numbered 1–19, formalizing the board’s appointments, designations and administrative authorities for 2026.
The resolutions name memberships (including the Minnesota School Boards Association and the Association of Metropolitan School Districts), designate board representatives and liaisons for committee assignments, and authorize officers and finance staff to sign checks and release collateral as required by statute. The motion was moved by Director Swor and seconded by Clerk Livingston and carried 6–0.
The resolutions also designate Pioneer Press as the district’s official newspaper and list outside legal counsel firms to be recognized for district legal affairs. The meeting record states: "BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Independent School District No. 622 that the following organizational resolutions, numbered 1-19, be accepted as presented."
