The board immediately moved to begin recruitment. After a virtual presentation by Barb Dorn of the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA), the board voted to authorize MSBA’s Limited Superintendent Search at a fee of $4,900. The motion, made by Zavadil and seconded by Barsness, authorized the board chair to execute the agreement, engaged local consultant Rick Ellingworth to assist, and directed administration to post the superintendent position no later than Feb. 27, 2026. The motion carried by roll call vote.
