The school board adopted a resolution to accept multiple donations to Litchfield Public Schools at its March 23 meeting. Chair Alex Carlson introduced the resolution and the board approved it on a roll call vote, 5-0.
Documented donations include $100 from Barb Piepenburg for Girls Basketball, $1,650 from the Hockey Boosters for girls hockey charter bus transportation, $1,300 from ACE Hardware, 670 packets of flower and vegetable seeds for the LHS Garden Program, $3,000 from First District for an LMS science museum trip, and $5,319.07 from Track Boosters to purchase a team tent, training hurdles and miscellaneous supplies. A plaque honoring Carol Huhner and other school secretaries also was donated to Lake Ripley School by the Carol Huhner Estate.
