City staff reported that the fire department’s routine transfer from its general fund to capital would remain at $100,000 in the 2025 draft after earlier consideration of a $150,000 increase.
"Every year the fire department transfers out a 100,000 from their general to their capital. It was expected to bump that up to a 150,000 next year. After talking with Kevin, he's comfortable with his cash balances... so we bumped that back down to a 100,000," the staff member said.
Councilors and staff noted that some larger capital and replacement costs remain and that transfers and capital planning will be part of longer-term CIP discussions, but no motion or formal vote occurred at the workshop.
