Board members asked why athletics items were prioritized; construction management and administration explained that the programming and design work for large academic projects takes longer to ready for bid, while bleacher/press‑box manufacturing and stadium electrical have lead times that require earlier procurement to meet schedule needs. The board approved the contracts by voice vote.
