Rockford board names official media, depositories and legal counsel for 2026

Eric Gordee moved to designate the Wright County Journal Press as the official media outlet; Jessica Johnson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board also designated Bankwest (Rockford), PMA Securities, Inc., and Associated Bank as official depositories. In addition, the board approved the recommended legal counsel options (Kennedy & Graven; Ratwik, Roszak and Maloney P.A.; Squires, Waldspurger & Mace, P.A.) and authorized the Board Chair and the Superintendent to contact counsel as needed.
The approvals formally establish where public notices will be posted and which institutions hold district funds, and authorize the board chair and superintendent to seek legal advice, including from outside firms if litigation requires it.
