Superintendent thanks staff for extended school‑year program for students with disabilities

In the superintendent’s report the superintendent thanked staff for organizing the district’s extended school‑year (ESY) program for eligible students with disabilities and reported close to 30 students participating. She credited transportation, food service, payroll and paraprofessional assignments as essential supports and thanked specific teaching staff and paraprofessionals by name for their roles in the program.

Board members offered thanks in turn and noted personnel changes across the district; one board member read a positive performance evaluation and the Chair announced the superintendent’s evaluation would occur that evening. The superintendent described how ESY also offers opportunities for staff to work directly with students (for example, facilitating speech and language therapy) and said the program is going well.
