Spanish instructor Beth Durgin presented a proposal to take qualifying students to Spain in the spring of 2027.
Durgin said the trip would be for students who are in or have completed Spanish II and that approximately six to ten students have expressed interest. She told the board the travel arrangement would be handled through the agency Xperitas and gave a projected per-student cost range. "The estimated cost of the trip would be between $4,200-$5,000 depending on how many students go, airfare costs, and departure," the minutes record.
The trip request was included on the consent agenda as an overnight/out-of-state field trip request; final approval will follow district trip approval procedures and any additional logistical or budgetary review.
