The ISD 2071 board on Dec. 15 approved a consent agenda that included donations, personnel hires and leaves, minutes and bills. The motion, moved by Leiding and seconded by Sargent, passed unanimously.
The minutes record acceptance of a $6,000 grant from the Howard Rasmussen Charitable Trust for the band program, $1,500 from LCTM PTO for PBIS and the Snack Cart, and a $40 donation from Afton Gross for Karla Caldwell's classroom. The board also accepted the retirement resignation of Shirley LaFavor, effective Feb. 18, 2026, noting 37 years of service to the LAKE CRYSTAL-WELLCOME MEMORIAL School District.
Personnel actions recorded under the consent agenda include hiring Mya Mathiowetz, Brady Degner and Susan Johnson as long-term substitutes for specified teacher positions with listed date ranges, as well as approving childcare leave requests for Eric Ouren, Layce Johnson and Amara Gilman and a medical leave for Megan Schwaegerl through April 1, 2026. The minutes also show approval of bills totaling $739,183.38 and wire transfers of $335,893.26.
