The Arcadia Unified School District Board voted to appoint Jorge Munoz as principal of Arcadia High School, effective July 1, 2025, after a multi-stage selection process that included community, staff and student panels.
Staff described the recruitment: 26 applicants, seven invited for in-person interviews and three finalists advancing to final interviews and candidate receptions. A recommending administrator said Munoz’s experience teaching, serving as department chair and prior assistant principal experience, including time away at San Marino and work on campus projects, made him a strong choice.
"It's truly an honor to step into the role of principal at a school and district that meant so much to me for the past 19 years," Munoz said after the vote, thanking his family and colleagues and expressing commitment to supporting teachers and students.
The motion to appoint Munoz passed by voice vote, 4–0.
