Board hears transfer-station report and flags driver shortage in county operations

On staffing, board members said they are seeing far fewer applicants for truck-driving and similar roles than they did previously. One member noted, "we used to get 50, 60 applicants... and the last time we had 4," underscoring a staffing shortage affecting county operations.
The transfer-station discussion also covered logistics for demolition materials should contractors use county disposal sites; staff asked to be informed if contractors planned to bring bucket-sized or larger loads to the transfer station so they could manage incoming debris.
