Commission staff reported that Kensington has outstanding payments from prior years and that previous letters seeking recovery produced limited response. Speaker 1 said the district has an outstanding arrearage that, when combined with current-year adjustments, totals roughly $1,110,000.
"So that's what we're gonna be looking for for payment, from them," Speaker 1 said, summarizing legal-recovery plans. Staff noted prior efforts (a 2020 letter seeking about $1,000,000) went unanswered and that the commission will pursue compensation and clarify whether payments should be made directly to the commission rather than routed through Mattabassett.
