At the Feb. 10 regular meeting, the Up North Learning Center School Board approved its annual administrative designations. Linsey McMurrin moved to designate First National Bank North Walker as the district depository; the motion was seconded and passed by recorded vote (4–0 with Terri Nystrom absent).
The board also approved The Pilot Independent as the official newspaper and set regular meeting dates for the second Tuesday of August, February and April at 2:00 p.m. in Room 132. The board moved to designate Kennedy & Graven Chartered and Pemberton Law as annual legal counsel; that motion likewise passed on a 4–0 recorded vote with one absence.
