Rush City board adopts Robert’s Rules, meeting schedule and compensation

The Rush City Public School District board voted on several governance items at its Jan. 8 organizational meeting. By motion of Rory Roth and seconded by Kevin Haugrud, the board adopted Robert’s Rules of Order as its procedural manual. "Motion by Roth seconded by Haugrud to adopt Robert’s Rules of Order. Motion carried 5-0," the minutes state.
The board also approved the regular meeting dates, times and locations (with changes) following a motion by Roth and seconded by Lind, and approved board compensation as presented (motion by Lind, seconded by Haugrud). The County News Review was designated as the district's official newspaper (motion by Roth, seconded by Lind). Each motion was recorded as carried 5-0.
