KMS school board approves agenda, routine minutes, payments and personnel moves

The regular Independent School District #775 board meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chair Todd Rudningen, and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. On a motion by Carla Olson, seconded by Erik Finstrom, the board approved the Aug. 11 agenda; the minutes of July 14, 2025, were later approved on a motion by Finstrom and seconded by Olson. The minutes record that "All motions passed (5-0)."
Board members also approved bills and electronic funds payments on a motion by Sean Collins and seconded by Carla Olson; the roll call listed Kavanagh, Collins, Olson, Finstrom and Rudningen. The board accepted resignations from preschool teacher Stephanie Barrett and preschool paraprofessional Patty Simmonds. The board approved the appointment of Mary Walsh as a long-term Grade 2 substitute teacher. Minutes show each of these personnel motions carried by recorded majority (5-0).
