Board highlights Special Olympics, senior walks and community partnerships

Presenter also described student tours that gave incoming sixth graders (about 71 students next year) a chance to visit Jones Senior High School before the start of classes. Presenter thanked the Jones County Historical Society and named Charlie Jones as its president for supporting teacher training tied to the America 250 committee, noting each school site will have a teacher representative for next year’s Independence Day programming.
