At the Oct. 13 meeting the Yellow Medicine East School Board approved new Drivers Education fees effective Jan. 1, 2026: classroom and behind-the-wheel bundled at $400; behind-the-wheel only at $300; and classroom-only (outside the regular school day) at $125. The fee schedule was approved on a motion by Matt Zempel and second by Ron Winter.
The board also set provisions for a Drivers Education Training Agreement with instructor Melissa Schulte; the minutes record the agreement provisions were approved but do not include the agreement text or compensation details.
