Board hears that membership affects cost and enrollment priority for regional program

Dr. Jeff Horton told the board many programs have "extensive waitlists," and that associate-district membership affects both cost and access. Horton said there is a possibility of closing enrollment to member districts to ensure capacity for member students.
Horton also stated that if area districts are not members, "the costs for their students would be 20% higher to send their students to the facility." Board members asked how many districts had committed; Horton said two of the four potential associate districts were still exploring options and that member districts would need to meet with him for further discussion.
