Recorded approvals include a $7,500 Minnesota Power Foundation grant and a $1,000 North Star Electric Operation Round Up grant for CTE tools; a $17,875 Koochiching County Opioid Settlement grant for ALC programming; a $23,000 Koochiching County Opioid Settlement grant for vape detectors; and a $3,000 Minnesota Department of Health Hydration Station grant for West End.
Motion records in the minutes show most of these grants were approved by unanimous vote where tallies are recorded. The motion to accept the MDH Hydration Station Grant and the CTE grants were specifically recorded as carried 6-0. One opioid-settlement vape-detector grant motion is recorded as carried in the minutes but without a numerical tally. District staff noted the grants will be used to purchase tools, program supports and safety equipment for students and facilities.
