Dr. Kurt Hartle provided an update on onboarding efforts for the interim-superintendent role, saying he was "still working on the interim superintendent full of entry plan" and has met with principals, assistant principals and directors. He said community-member interviews and a board retreat were completed and that staff shadowing and fall activities were planned.
Hartle announced the ratification of the Meridian Educational Support Professionals (MESP) classified-union agreement and said teacher bargaining (MBA) would start August 17. He reviewed upcoming calendar items including new staff orientation, administrator training days and the first day of school in late August.
