Preschool program fills; ECFE summer classes and daycare screenings planned

Early Childhood staff reported several preschool sections are full or on waitlist, ECFE will offer summer classes in June and August, and kindergarten readiness screenings will be set up at daycare centers for 2026–27.
Early Childhood staff told the advisory council that preschool registration has reached capacity in multiple sections: a 2½‑day AM and 3½‑day AM class and two all‑day sections are listed as full and on a waitlist. Graduation for preschool is scheduled for next Wednesday at the PAC.
ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) will run summer classes in June and August, and staff plan to set up kindergarten readiness screenings at local daycares for the 2026–27 school year. An outreach event is scheduled July 13, 9:00–11:00 AM at Mark Park splash pad and will be free to the public.
