Dr. Katsuda recommended approving 195 nonresident students with requested windows from May 11 to Aug. 14, 2026, and offering 30 out-of-district transfer slots requested from May 11 to June 19, 2026. Vice Chair Will Mohring moved to approve the transfer process as outlined; Director Michael Newman seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve the recommendation. Board members asked questions during the presentation about hardship-request guidelines, dual-language immersion implications and how district guidelines compare with surrounding districts.
