Cascade Board honors Class of 2025 valedictorians and salutatorians

The Cascade School District Board of Directors formally recognized 12 students named valedictorians and salutatorians for the Class of 2025 during its May meeting. Trustees passed a resolution honoring the students after individual introductions and brief remarks from several who described college and career plans.
High school principal Rasmussen introduced the students and noted the district’s pride in their achievements. Several students spoke: Lily Pickett said she plans to attend Southern Oregon University to run track and field, and Cash Butler, who serves as ASB president, said he will attend Willamette and continue playing football.
The board approved a resolution recognizing the graduates with a voice vote. After the recognition the board briefly paused the meeting for a reception for students and families. The board also reminded the public that graduation is scheduled for June 4 at 7:00 p.m. on Federico Field.
