The CKLA clips showed partner activities focused on root words, prefixes and suffixes and emphasized discussion and read‑alouds to build background knowledge.
District staff said they are drafting a learning‑walk template to observe implementation and plan targeted professional learning and coaching. They stressed that ongoing coaching—not just initial training—is essential to make the curriculum effective in diverse classrooms.
