The Corvallis School District 509J Board of Directors on Dec. 11 approved the district's 2025–27 Student Investment Account (SIA) Grant Agreement by unanimous vote.
Finance Director Lauren Wolfe presented the agreement as a state-required document following the grant's earlier presentation. "It was moved by Director Hawkins and seconded by Co-Vice Chair Tominey to approve the district's 2025-27 Student Investment Account (SIA) Grant Agreement," the motion read, and the board recorded seven yeas and no nays.
Board members did not amend the agreement at the meeting. The SIA is a state program that supports district-level investments in student-centered strategies; the board approved the grant agreement to formalize the district's participation for the 2025–27 period.
Why it matters: Formal approval ensures the district can receive and administer SIA funds for the 2025–27 biennium under the terms presented to the Board and will allow staff to proceed with planned investments tied to board priorities.
