The Lane County School District 40 Board of Directors voted unanimously Nov. 12 to adopt a set of revised policies addressing student education records, compulsory attendance, personal electronic devices and immunizations.
Mary Stayton moved to adopt the posted revised policies; Debi Wilkerson seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The policies listed in the minutes include IGBAB/JO-AR (Education Records/Records of Students with Disabilities), JEA and JEA‑AR (Compulsory Attendance and related notices and citations), JFCEB and JFCEB‑AR (Personal Electronic Devices and exceptions), JHCA (Immunization; School Sports Participation; Concussions and Other Brain Injuries), and JO (Directory Information).
Board members did not record extended discussion in the minutes on the substantive content of each policy change. The action was taken as a single package under unfinished business; the minutes show the motion was moved by Stayton and seconded by Wilkerson and passed unanimously.
