Board outlines committee work, forms small CEA-report work group and lists future agenda items

Committee facilitators reported status updates: Vice Chair Mohring said the BHD committee (board compensation and expense reimbursement) will meet next week; Director Michael Newman said the BK committee (evaluation of board operational procedures) will bring a revised policy to an upcoming work session; Director Rose Solowski reported the Budget Committee is close to a draft; and Director Melissa Standley said the IIC/IICA field-trips work is collecting information from all schools.
Superintendent James Owens also listed future agenda items for next month: first Budget Committee meeting (virtual) followed by a work session, Teacher Appreciation Week recognition, a mid-process update on long-range facility planning from DLR, and discussion of 2025–26 school-year calendars and the Board meeting calendar. Director Ronald “Jess” Hardin noted Centennial Youth Football is accepting donations and Director Standley mentioned a partnership with Mt. Hood Repertory Theatre for "Into the Wood" at CHS this fall.
