He also provided legislative and county advocacy updates, noted Classified Appreciation Week, and confirmed district and CEA mediation dates for Feb. 26–27, 2026.
Board members expressed excitement about the facility planning meeting and asked specific questions concerning student involvement in the data summit work sessions. Owens said staff will continue preparations and return updates to the board in future meetings.
