Board adopts instructional materials and student-searches policy updates
Summary
After second readings, the board unanimously adopted revisions to policy IIA (Instructional Materials) and to JFG administrative regulations on student searches; both were adopted following staff presentations and no additional amendments.
The board completed second readings and adopted two district policies at the Feb. 25 work session. April Olson, the director of curriculum and student learning, presented proposed changes to policy IIA and its administrative regulations; after a brief review Director Ronald “Jess” Hardin moved to adopt IIA and associated ARs and Director Melissa Standley seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Director Paul Southerton then presented the second reading of JFG AR (Student Searches) and noted the suggested edits from the prior meeting. Director Michael Newman moved to adopt the JFG administrative regulation as presented; Director Rose Solowski seconded and the board voted unanimously to adopt. The minutes list no additional amendments or conditions to the adoptions.
