At the Feb. 25 work session the board approved a resolution to issue and sell general obligation refunding bonds, Series 2026, to advance-refund a portion of the district’s outstanding General Obligation and Refunding Bonds, Series 2020.
Director Paul Southerton introduced the transaction and reiterated the resolution’s objectives and what the transaction would and would not include. David William of Piper Sandler, who had previously briefed the board, was present for the discussion. Director Rose Solowski moved to approve the resolution and Director Michael Newman seconded; the board voted unanimously to approve the authorization. The minutes do not specify the principal amount to be refunded or the projected savings; those figures were not provided during the public work session.
