Volunteer-run coastal cleanup set for Sept. 21; organizers ask city to help publicize

Committee members and staff discussed logistics such as supplying gloves, asking participants to bring five-gallon jugs for collection, and using photographs to show students “what we pulled out” as an educational tool. Public Works Director Tony Boyd said staff would help get the word out and coordinate with volunteers.
