District begins Infinite Campus rollout; C&I highlights resources and supports

Curriculum & Instruction Director Brookie Ferguson updated the board on instructional materials, summer curriculum work and the district’s transition to Infinite Campus, the statewide student information system replacing PowerSchool. "Infinite Campus is the student information system that is replacing PowerSchool," Ferguson said, adding that attendance and grading functions are in use while the parent portal is in limited pilot at Lafayette Elementary.
Ferguson also summarized summer professional development, pacing guides and school-level support structures including instructional coaches and monthly instructional focus days. She described steps to resolve remaining "kinks" in the transition and emphasized monitoring and targeted coaching to use assessment data to drive instruction.
