The Albany County Conservation & Sustainability Committee voted to authorize an intermunicipal referral agreement that would add the Town of Westerlo to the county’s list of local referral items.
“...we’re requesting authorization to enter into an internal renewal agreement with town of Westerlo, regarding the opening county planning board, NARGA for our list,” said the department’s deputy director during the presentation, explaining that the referral list covers matters of local concern and that the items under this agreement are typically local in scope and have no countywide or intermunicipal impact.
A committee member asked for clarification that the addition would not change the deferral items; staff confirmed the referral list and deferral items stay the same. A motion to authorize the agreement was seconded and approved; the chair announced the motion carried.
