The Ontario School District 8C board approved a set of routine business items during its Jan. 26 meeting, including a TAG field trip, the Student Investment Account (SIA) agreement, the 2026–27 budget calendar, policy readings and bus procurement and surplus. Director Jenna Mejia moved to approve the TAG field trip to Eastern Oregon University; Director Lisa Reeser seconded and the motion passed.
Director of Finance Devin Collins explained a proposed change in a procurement threshold: "it was approved in July, in a resolution, to have it at $65,000 and now it is $75,000," an adjustment discussed during the first reading of policies DJ and JHCCF. The board also approved procurement and surplus of two school buses after the agenda change was adopted earlier in the meeting. All routine items referenced here passed on board motions and recorded roll‑call votes.
