Director of Facilities Bob Bennett walked the board through a list of building‑specific needs across the district, calling out roofs, parking lot repairs, carpet replacements, gym floors, electrical upgrades and separation of cafeterias and gyms where appropriate. Bennett said the Bridges building needs an access ramp and the transportation office needs more space to consolidate equipment stored at schools.
Bennett told the board, "we will be getting full funding for the Alameda schoolyard project," and Superintendent Albisu noted the district annually transfers funds to a building reserve to support capital work. The facilities report highlighted both deferred maintenance needs and specific projects staff is prioritizing for funding and scheduling.
