Board authorizes award of seismic retrofit contract for North Bay Elementary

The North Bend School District Board authorized the district to award the seismic retrofit project at North Bay Elementary to HGE Architects Inc. and to negotiate and execute a contract, voting unanimously on Dec. 11.
Director Anna Huit noted she served on the RFP grading committee; Director Megan Kronsteiner–Cahill moved to authorize the award and contracting authority, and Director Julie B. Hale seconded. The motion passed 7-0. Interim Superintendent Tim Crider explained the procurement process was followed and staff were authorized to negotiate contract terms with the recommended firm.
