The North Bend School District #13 Board of Directors voted unanimously Dec. 11 to promote Interim Superintendent Tim Crider to permanent superintendent after reviewing evaluations across multiple standards.
Board Chair Nathan McClintock summarized the evaluation, noting Standards 1, 6 and 7 were rated "Exceeding expectations" and Standard 3 as "Meeting expectations." Director Megan Kronsteiner-Cahill moved to promote Crider and allow the board chair to negotiate a permanent contract; Director Anna Huit seconded. The motion carried 7-0. The board did not record any dissenting comments during the vote.
The action follows a structured evaluation process presented at the meeting and a separate decision to engage OSBA facilitation for a full superintendent evaluation cycle. The board’s authorization enables the chair to finalize contract terms without returning the matter for another vote unless significant changes are proposed.
