The North Bend School District #13 Board of Directors voted 6–1 on Nov. 13 to authorize Interim Superintendent Tim Crider to negotiate and execute the sale of a 10.10-acre district parcel identified as Tax Lot 24S13W11900 (Viking Lane) to Bonneville Power Administration.
Director Julie B. Hale moved that the board "authorize Superintendent Crider to negotiate the remaining terms, finalize, and execute the sale" consistent with state law; Director DeAnne Wiedenmann seconded. The motion passed with Michelle Roberts voting Nay and the other six members voting Aye. The board directed the superintendent to report final sale terms to the board upon completion of the transaction.
Board members who supported the motion said the disposition would follow statutory requirements and return proceeds to the district for future needs; the motion language requires the superintendent to consult with the board chair before final execution. The agenda item record notes the parcel size (10.10 acres) and the Tax Lot identifier; the board did not disclose a sale price during the meeting.
The authorization is limited to negotiating and executing the sale with approval of the board chair; any final terms are to be reported back to the full board for transparency. No other conditions or contingencies were included in the motion as read into the record.
