District construction update: glazing and metal panels installed, team focusing on closing the envelope

A Northstar representative told the Royse City ISD board the new campus is making visible exterior progress, with glazing installed and masonry and metal panels being placed.
"As you can see, we had a lot of exterior progress going on there," the representative said while walking trustees through aerial and interior photos. The report noted work remains on mechanical/electrical/plumbing finishes and stair rails, and that finishing the glazing will help dry in the building so interior crews can continue.
Northstar also said many long‑lead items — brick, CMU and metal building components — are already on site and the schedule is being adjusted to use materials in stock while recalibrating remaining milestones. The board and superintendent thanked the construction team and said an updated schedule will be shared as part of the bond program updates.
