Board schedules Dec. 16 executive-session check-in on superintendent goals

Board members agreed during the Nov. 20 work session to hold the first formal check-in on the superintendent’s goals in an executive session at the Dec. 16 board meeting. The check-in will feature an update from Krista Nieraeth on progress toward goals that were shared in September and will be re-sent to board members.
OSBA facilitator Kristen Miles told the board she can support the district by compiling board-member feedback into a draft summary and helping craft a single written statement reflecting the board’s evaluation. Miles also reminded members that executive sessions must be run under the appropriate Oregon Revised Statutes and that discussions in executive session must be limited to the ORS authority cited when the session is convened.
