Superintendent Tim Crider gave a brief overview of how district revenues and expenditures are structured and explained the roles and responsibilities of board and budget committee members for fiscal oversight and long-term planning. He said board members each received copies of budget committee applications and will review them with the intent to appoint members at the board's Feb. 5, 2026 meeting.
Crider also provided an update on operational-levy planning: staff survey results and discussions with union leadership have taken place and district staff will bring further information to the board in February about a potential May ballot measure. No levy question or ballot language was presented at this meeting.
