The school board approved purchasing an additional Ford Expedition under state contract to increase the district's capacity for student transport. "We've got some situations where we're transporting kids, and we are out of rigs," the staff member said, explaining the operational gap the vehicle purchase aims to fill. The motion to buy the vehicle was moved and seconded and carried; staff said the purchase will be completed before June 30 and that at least one vehicle may be reassigned to a family-care liaison for district use.
