Board sets academic-growth expectation: 'minimum of one year at every grade level'

Staff member Matt Combe presented the first proposed board goal at the Aug. 11 work session: "All Morrow County School District students will demonstrate academic achievement growth proportionate to or above their Oregon peers using a variety of measures." Board members Becky Kindle, Mary Killion and Rosa Delgado discussed the language briefly and indicated support for presenting the goal for formal adoption at the Sept. 8 board meeting. The item was not voted on in the work session; it was referred to the regular Board meeting for action.
