The board discussed next steps for a district strategic plan. Superintendent Tracy Klinger reviewed three options and said Option 1 would be a comprehensive, consultant-led approach, typically used for five-year plans. Board members signaled a preference for Option 1, noting the need for clarity, accessible metrics, Spanish translation and regional partnership engagement. Klinger said she will include accessibility requirements, board conditions, the educational-technology plan and the long-range facilities plan in the RFQ.
The board approved releasing the RFQ with an April due date, and staff will review proposals and bring a recommendation to the April work session. Board members emphasized the importance of hiring a consultant familiar with state accountability requirements and producing interactive, accessible deliverables rather than a static PDF.
