Superintendent (presenter) described how the ESD pools resources for smaller districts, providing technology services, special-education supports, early-learning grants and career programs such as Junior Achievement BizTown and Finance Park. The presentation included examples of student work, student-intern projects and the ESD’s role in the Student Success Act compliance and grant check‑ins. "This is a prime example of how we collaborate with the ESD," the superintendent said.
Board member S2 moved to adopt Resolution No. 1; the motion was seconded and approved on a voice vote, with the chair announcing the motion carries. The staff presentation emphasized that roughly 90% of ESD funds go directly toward student services, and that districts can select from a ‘menu’ of services to meet local needs.
The approval places Seaside on the same service plan that supports 20 districts across four counties with regional technical assistance and shared instructional resources.
