Advanced Health donates $10,000 to PHS for holiday student gift certificates; mock interviews underway

Port Orford High School Principal DeAnna Williams told the board that Advanced Health donated $10,000 to the district so students could receive $50 gift certificates prior to the holidays. The donation was included in the PHS report submitted with meeting materials and was highlighted at the Dec. 15 meeting.
Williams also described mock interview activities taking place to help students with job applications; Superintendent Aaron Miller said he would assist with the student interview program. The board acknowledged the donation and the career-readiness supports during the reports section of the meeting.
