The Ontario School District 8C Board of Directors voted unanimously Feb. 23 to accept Superintendent Nicole Albisu's recommendations on renewal and nonrenewal of probationary licensed staff and extensions for contract-licensed staff for the 2026–27 school year. Chair Bret Uptmor moved the motion and Director Lisa Reeser seconded; Uptmor, Vice-Chair Abby Apodaca, Director Jenna Mejia and Reeser recorded yes votes.
Superintendent Nicole Albisu presented the recommendation packet to the board in open session; Chair Uptmor framed the motion as following Albisu's recommendation. "Chair Uptmor states a motion to accept the recommendation of Superintendent Albisu regarding the renewal and non-renewal of probationary licensed staff and extension of contract-licensed staff as listed for the 2026-2027 school year," the record shows. The board took no additional public action beyond the vote.
