Town staff: $3 million allocated; next steps include Sept. meeting and May town-meeting vote

At the meeting Parks and Recreation staff outlined the fiscal and scheduling path for the Action Park project. "3,000,000 total," the staff member said when asked about the budget, and explained schematic-level cost splits between skate and pickleball have not yet been developed.
Staff said consultants will return with final schematic designs at a Sept. 24 public meeting; staff will submit a capital-improvement (CIP) request in October and the project would appear on the town warrant for a yes/no vote at the May town meeting. If the town votes yes, staff said funds would be available July 1 of the fiscal year and bidding could proceed so construction might begin in late summer or fall with an anticipated opening in spring 2028.
