City forms committee to review bids for Country Lane Well No. 3

A staff presenter explained outreach to private plan rooms and that Hydro Solutions (Dripping Springs) and Bee Cave Drilling had received plans. "I sent them a set of plans," the presenter said. Council discussed forming a small evaluation committee to review proposals; council asked Tony and other qualified members to serve. The mayor and staff said they may call a special council meeting if award action is required prior to the next regular meeting.
Committee members will review incoming proposals, summarize options for contract terms, and present recommendations to council. Staff projected a roughly 30-day period to finalize a selection after bids are opened and a four-month mobilization and drilling schedule, with system tie-in projected by May 2025.
